As a designated Main Street Alabama community and an Accredited Main Street America™ program, we use a proven framework for downtown revitalization that has helped communities across the country create thriving, sustainable downtown districts.
Our work is guided by the nationally recognized Main Street Four Point Approach®, a comprehensive strategy that addresses the many factors that contribute to a successful downtown. By combining volunteer leadership, business development, preservation efforts, and community-driven initiatives, we help ensure Downtown Scottsboro remains a vibrant place to live, work, shop, dine, and gather.

In 2018, Scottsboro became the 22nd designated Main Street Alabama community. Through this partnership, Downtown Scottsboro receives access to training, technical assistance, design expertise, economic development resources, and networking opportunities that support our downtown revitalization efforts.
Together, Main Street Alabama and Main Street America provide the tools, resources, and support needed to create meaningful and lasting change in Downtown Scottsboro.

Much of Downtown Scottsboro’s work is accomplished through volunteer committees that align with the Four Point Approach®. Committee members help plan events, support local businesses, improve downtown spaces, recruit volunteers, and advance projects that strengthen the downtown district.
