Trade Days
Trade Day in Scottsboro is Scottsboro’s oldest tradition. Originally called “First Monday,” because it was held on the first Monday of the month, Trade Day is a day for local craftsmen, food vendors, and anyone who wants to come sell or trade their items. It is held on the Saturday before the first Monday of each month in Downtown Scottsboro on the courthouse square. Here are the Trade Day events scheduled for 2025:
All events, unless otherwise specified, are from 9AM-4PM
*These events are not an organized Trade Day event within Main Street Scottsboro (MSS) and are open and free to all vendors. We do ask that if you plan on setting up as a vendor that you set up on the inside loop of Broad, Laurel, and Market Street only. During the free event weekends, we do not close any streets and the inside of Peachtree is reserved for the Sheriff’s Department and Courthouse officials. Please do not take up more than 3 parking spaces and remember that all items are welcomed except for firearms, animals, or stolen/illegal items. Setup for Trade Day may occur after 6PM on the Friday prior to the event or the day of the event from 6AM-8AM.
The rest of the listed events are organized through Main Street Scottsboro and require vendor registration and fee. Trade Day weekend is one of the initiatives of Main Street Scottsboro. Main Street Scottsboro is part of the larger Main Street Alabama network and is proud to support and plan each Trade Day that is not marketed as a “Free Event and Open to All Vendors”.
